Still wondering?
Ask in your request.
Anything not covered here can go in the message box on the lesson request form.
How long is a lesson, and how much does it cost?
Every lesson is a 1-on-1 private lesson that lasts one hour and costs $45. There is one simple rate, with flexible scheduling.
What should I bring?
Bring a tennis racquet if you have one, a water bottle, and court shoes or athletic sneakers with good grip for side-to-side movement. Wear comfortable athletic clothes and dress for the weather. If you don't have a racquet yet, mention it in your lesson request.
What skill levels do you teach?
All skill levels are welcome, from complete beginners who have never held a racquet to experienced high school, league and tournament players who want to sharpen specific shots or strategy.
Do you teach kids, adults, or both?
Both. Lucas coached children ages 6 to 12 in tennis fundamentals as an assistant coach at the Highfield Country Club kids summer camps from 2022 to 2024, and teens and adults are just as welcome. For young players, please include the player's age in your lesson request.
Where do lessons take place?
Lessons are held at a local tennis court in the service area, which runs from Middlebury, Southbury and Greater Waterbury through Newtown, Monroe, Redding and Danbury. Some towns only allow lessons run by their own parks department on town courts, so the exact court is confirmed with you when your lesson is booked.
What happens if it rains?
If the weather makes the court unplayable, your lesson is rescheduled at no charge. The details are agreed when you book.
How does booking work?
Send the lesson request form with your skill level, town and preferred times. Lucas gets back to you to confirm a time and a court. Then you show up and play a full hour, 1-on-1.
Which towns do you serve?
Middlebury, Southbury, Waterbury, Woodbury, Oxford, Naugatuck, Watertown, Cheshire, Prospect, Newtown, Monroe, Redding and Danbury, CT. If you are in a nearby town, choose Other on the request form and mention where you are.
